At Salt City Farm, our mission is to raise exceptional Bernedoodles with loving temperaments, sound health, and the gentle companionship families are searching for. We carefully prioritize health, temperament, and quality in every pairing, with the goal of raising well-rounded family companions that are as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside. Our puppies are raised in our home with daily love, socialization, and hands-on care from the very beginning, helping them grow into confident, loyal, and affectionate dogs. At Salt City Farm, we believe a great dog becomes part of the family, and we are honored to help create those lifelong bonds.
Why a Bernedoodle?
Bernedoodles are loved for their gentle personalities, intelligence, and loyal companionship. A mix of the Bernese Mountain Dog and the Poodle, they combine the affectionate, calm nature of the Bernese with the intelligence and lower-shedding coat of the Poodle. They are playful, loving, and highly people-oriented, making them wonderful family dogs and companions for all stages of life. Bernedoodles are also known for being eager to please and easy to bond with, creating deep connections with their families. At Salt City Farm, we love Bernedoodles because they truly bring together the best qualities a family dog can offer: a gentle heart, a joyful spirit, and unwavering loyalty.
Meet Romi...
Foundation female of Salt City Bernedoodles—purposefully selected for her gentle nature, loving temperament, and outstanding family companionship.
Romi is the heart of our Bernedoodle program at Salt City Farm and the dog that inspired it all. From the very beginning, she has had the most loving, gentle temperament we could have ever hoped for in a family dog. She is incredibly people-oriented and happiest when she is right by our side, whether that means joining us on an outdoor adventure or simply relaxing at home with the family.
What makes Romi so special is her ability to be both playful and easy-going. She loves hiking, exploring, and keeping up with family activities, but she also has a calm, affectionate nature that makes her an incredible companion. She is intuitive, loyal, and naturally gentle with everyone she meets.
Romi showed us firsthand what an amazing Bernedoodle can be, and she became the foundation of our program because we wanted to share those same qualities with other families. Her temperament, loving personality, and joyful spirit are exactly what we strive to preserve in every puppy we raise.
Pedigree, Performance, & Health
Romi is CKC registered and comes from carefully selected purebred AKC registered parents — a Standard Poodle mother and a Bernese Mountain Dog father — both chosen for their strong genetics and excellent temperaments. As part of our commitment to responsible breeding, Romi has been health tested through Embark, which is commonly used for genetic screening in mixed breeds. We also carefully select stud dogs from proven lines with comprehensive health testing.
